I’m a 50-something baby boomer who’s getting serious about personal finance as I head towards retirement.

My wonderful husband (referred here as Mr. Boomer) and I have five adult children from our blended marriage.  We are also blessed with six grandkids to date.

My day gig is working for a technology company that p rovides products and services for the health care industry.  

One thing that many people don’t know about me is that I proudly served in the US Navy in my younger days.

I am not a financial expert, but just trying to figure out how to retire at age 60 to have time to travel and enjoy life while we can.

I started reading blogs while studying personal finance and attending Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University.  The many wonderful sites I visited were inspiring and  I figured I had a lot to say as well.   It’s been fun to learn new skills while “meeting” new people and working towards financial peace.
