I’m sure you have lots of lists but the one I’m thinking about is like in the movie The Bucket List. A list of things you want to do, achieve, and accomplish in your life.
What got me thinking about it was this life list at Betty Decoy’s blog. While I don’t want to try 1,000 cheeses (worried about constipation), I’ve had a list in my head and it’s time to let it out.
Why have a list? Writing down what you want to accomplish helps in making it reality. Most of us get caught up in the day to day routine of life and never focus on longer term goals. At least that’s my problem.
So take some time and create your list of life goals. There’s even an e-How article on creating a bucket or life list. Google the term “bucket list” for a lot of examples if you need help getting started.
Here’s the start of my life list, but it is subject to change and I’ll be expanding it as well.
LIFE LIST
1. Dance at the weddings of my grandkids.
2. Zip line.
3. Travel to Japan, Germany, Australia and Italy.
4. Get a master’s degree
5. Take a 3-week vacation
6. Hike across England.
7. Own a convertible.
8. Celebrate our silver wedding anniversary.
9. Write a book.
10. Be debt-free!
If you’ve created a list (or have one in mind) tell us one thing on your list.

What great timing. I’m currently making my list. =)
I’ve always known my financial goals but in regards to other things I don’t have a set of goals. It’ll take awhile but I’ll post it sometime… when I finish it.

Hi Jersey Mom, I’m closer to the end of my life so figured I should get these goals down on paper. That way I might actually work towards them. Looking forward to your list!
Thanks for your comments on my SITS DAY!
Have a great weekend!
Hi Betty, thanks for stopping by!
Nice list! I should make one myself. So far I have one mentally.
I like how you want to have a convertable. I sat in one of those and my long hair flies all over the place and my face. It’s a cool looking car though.
I hope you get to dance on your grandkid’s wedding too.

Thanks, MoneyHoneySF. My hair isn’t long anymore so I think I would like the convertible. (I’d hate to think we’re the people who never put the top down.) Hey, what’s on your list?
I’ve been wanting to watch this movie but unable to get a copy of the same. Let’s hope for the best. 🙂
1. Launch a Product
2. Travel to Canada, Italy
3. Learn Photography
4. Setup alternate avenues of passive income!
Now this has made me thinking….. what more do I add to my list! 🙂
Interesting list, Austin. Are you able to share what kind of product? P.S. Canada is a beautiful big land. However, when I’m there on business I feel like it’s not foreign enough. The language, TV, stores and food is very much the same (not to say there aren’t some differences).
Can’t mention much details about the product as of now. However, been thinking about this for almost quite a while now. Haven’t really been getting the time/ focus on it due to existing commitments. However, I have now put in on your blog list 🙂 — so I gotta have it done this year for sure.
Austin, you got my curiosity up. Can’t wait to hear about the product!
Here from SITS and I could just copy and paste your list, except for number 4. Anything I want to master I feel I can without sitting at a desk in a classroom.. so I’ll replace that with…go horseback riding through the mountains! Happy Saturday!

Double WIde Mom, glad the rest of the list appealed to you. I am a nerd who loves the classroom and have since kindergarten (which was xx years ago). Thanks for coming over from SITS.
I was over at the SITS comments and remembered your “face” from visiting my blog. I was intrigued by the post title because I am a huge believer in lists, such satisfaction when you can cross things off! but I am a bit superstitious about sharing things I really want to do…like spend the summer in Italy (oops!)

Elizabeth, thanks for recognizing me! Your artwork is fantastic.
I won’t tell what’s on your list…..
Great idea.
On my list:
1. pay off my mortgage in about 6 years.
2. bike Nova Scotia, end to end
3. photography/hiking vacation in southern Utah’s national parks
4. travel to italian countryside
5. save $1 million for retirement
6. read a biography of every american president, starting with Washington and ending with obama
Fern, I love your list! Very actionable, yet attainable. Biking Nova Scotia sounds cool.
My wife asked me this the other day. Other than financial freedom the only thing I could think of was the desire to see flying fish fly!

LeanLifeCoach, I like it. I can’t say I’ve ever seen flying fish!
