Eucerin Skin First Pledge and Giveaway

by Kay Lynn

Eucerin is a brand my family has been using for 24 years so I was happy to see them as an BlogHer exhibitor last month.  My pediatrician first recommended their products to me in 1986 when my newborn had unusually dry skin.  Years later, my dermatologist recommended their Redness Relief line of products to battle the effects of rosacea.

I took the Eucerin Skin First quiz and after pledging to take care of my skinwas given the gift bag above containing Eucerin Daily Skin Balance Body Lotion, Daily Skin Balance Hand Crème as well as the Everyday Protection Face Lotion and a Eucerin Health & Wellness Journal.  I was thrilled to hear from Eucerin later with the opportunity to give away two gift bags to Bucksome Boomer readers.

Everyone will be a winner though because you can get a free sample by visiting the Eucerin facebook page and taking the pledge.

My skin tip – I wash and moisturize my face every night before I go to bed. I have been doing this for so long that I have trouble falling asleep without doing so.

My skin tip … drink plenty of water.

PS. My pediatrician also recommended Eucerin when my kids were little.

I’ve got a 1986 “baby” too! 🙂

The best skincare tip of all is USE SUNSCREEN! When you’re applying it, don’t forget the backs of your hands! I already subscribe to your blog via RSS. I’ll be happy to tweet about your giveaway.

Love Eucerin lotion on my dry elbows!

Stay out of the sun! I used to be a sun worshiper and now I’m paying the price. Sun spots, pre-cancerous areas, etc. Those fleating summers of golden brown skin just isn’t worth the terrible damage it causes.

the biggest thing you can do for your skin is stay out of the sun.

I doubt you’ll find many of your readers taking my advice, but having come of age during the late sixties’ I attribute my good skin to the fact that I’ve never worn make-up. (I haven’t shaved my legs, either. But I can’t say that’s helped my legs any!)

Too bad it’s only open to US residents. 😉 I’ll give a tip anyways: My tip is to drink less coke, drink more water, and eat less refined sugars. I can’t cite any scientific evidence for this ATM, but it helped out some acne problems I used to have.

Skin tip – don’t use harsh cleansers or chemical peels; gentle cleansers are good enough for almost everyone. See a dermatologist if you think you need something stronger.

Anne September 12, 2010 at 4:36 pm

Wash your face no matter what is my best advice.

To take care of my skin, I use natural homemade soaps with moisturizers and no preservatives. I then use Eucerin to moisturize my skin after a shower.
