Gift Giveaway Bash: Smiley Cookies

by Kay Lynn

Gift Giveaway BashToday’s the first day of the Gift Giveaway Bash week with the Better Living Blog Network.  We’re kicking it off here with something sweet.

You can win one dozen cookies from Smiley Cookie. These cookies are a Pittsburgh tradition that are now available nationwide.

My family and I got to taste them and liked the fact that they are fresh and preservative-free.  I’m not a fan of frosted cookies but that didn’t stop me from eating them.

I would recommend microwaving the cookie for a few seconds to get that fresh-baked taste and texture.  If you don’t want to eat them upon receipt, they freeze well.

Although the prize is for the original Smiley cookie, if you order your own other options are available including design your own or the seasonal design.  The current seasonal cookie is the Christmas Tree Smiley.

I have the happiest memories of Smiley Face cookies! We used to go out to Eat ‘n Park every Friday morning my senior year (my group all had a study hall 1st period, and we totally ditched) and we’d bring back a dozen smiley cookies for the secretaries so they wouldn’t mark us tardy. Hehehe!

My favorite cookie is a just-out-of-the-oven Toll-House chocolate chip cookie. Nom.

Thanks for the little trip down memory lane!
