I found last month to be “slower” than usual here at Bucksome Boomer. Maybe it was Thanksgiving break I took or the fact there was one less day. It’s okay as long as it’s just a seasonal thing.
Our family had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration with our small gathering. I only freaked out once while cooking the feast and it was early on!
Budget Highs and Lows
It was an uneventful month in terms of the budget meaning there weren’t any unexpected expenses. I earned $908 in blog income between my staff writer pay and advertising. This is really helpful in terms of the debt snowball.
Blog Stats
Visits for November were about the same as October, but page views and pages per visit were both down 7%. The good news is that unique visitors increased 6%. These stats are certainly nothing to complain about given the time of year.
Although I’m working on increasing my percentage of traffic from search engines, the bulk of traffic is from referring sites which are greatly appreciated. Listed below are the top 10 November referring sites. Thanks so much!
1. GraceFUL Retirement
2. Girl With the Red Balloon
3. Yakezie
4. The Saved Quarter
5. Cash Flow Sherpas
6. Financial Samurai
7. Crystal and Company
8. The Penny Frugalista
9. Consumerism Commentary

Congratulations on your blog income success. That is fantastic. Do you mind if I ask what your best advertisers/affiliates are?
Kristia, my income primarily comes from private advertisers versus affiliates. Frankly, they come to me or other bloggers and we negotiate.
I made your list. 🙂
My readers love your pointers and advice!
Crystal, I’m blushing! I love the recipes, activities and more on your site.
Keep up the great work, Kay! I’m really impressed with your blog income.
Little House, thanks. I made $20 the first half of the year and much more the second half. I’ll write more about it in my 2011 goals post coming up soon!
Kay,
Your blog income is enviable! My goal is to get to $1,000 and am nowhere near that because I turn down people wanting sidebar ads for $15 and $20 (not worth it to me after fees) but I am working on it! You let me know that it can be gone.
Sandy, I also turn down that low ball offers. You have to wade through them to find the good ones!
Thanks so much for linking up at my monthly Blogger Appreciation Day meme! 🙂 I really love doing it and hope to see it grow. 🙂 Don’t forget to check in on the fifth of every month to link up your stats and referrer post!
Kelli, I think it’s great that you promote paying back other bloggers!
