Weekend Scoop: Earthquake and Around the Web

by Kay Lynn

Friday morning I was eating breakfast when the news story about the Japan earthquake was on the news.  My five-year-old granddaughter lives there and I was frightened for her.

Unfortunately, her mother does not keep in touch with us and it’s impossible to enforce U.S. custody rules in that country.  We since learned the epicenter was not near Yokohama and although I am empathetic for the Japanese people impacted, I am selfishly happy about the location.
