Thank you for the link. And I’m with you on Feeding America as a great way to help. After all, some food banks don’t want individual contributions of canned goods et al. because they don’t have enough volunteers to sort them. Cash goes a lot further.
Here’s a tip: Make the local food bank or Feeding America the recipient of your “found” money. All year long I pick up coins (and sometimes even bills) and save them. Near Thanksgiving I count it, round it up and donate it to a Seattle-area food bank. This gives me the impetus to bend over and pick up that penny (or whatever).

Great idea about finding ways to give money to your favorite cause. Thanks for letting us know about food contributions. My church specifically gathers food, but the individual charities may have difficulty with this type of donation.
