Weekend Scoop: Mother’s Day, Empty Nest and More

I hope all moms were remembered today. I had a good day even though it was bittersweet. My youngest and his girlfriend drove off to start the next phase of their lives in Florida.

I’m excited for them, but it also means Mr. Boomer and I are starting a new phase of our lives. After 30 plus years of parenting, there are no kids living at home. My husband hoped to hit that milestone before he turned 60, but it’s close enough! 🙂

We also spent part of the weekend celebrating our wedding anniversary which was Friday. A night away downtown was a good treat even though I think the Padres played their worst game of the season!
