My husband and I were watching a movie at home yesterday when a news alert popped up on my phone (yes I’m one of those who can’t leave the phone alone). I didn’t want to believe it and started saying, “oh, no” over and over.
I quickly checked news sites which confirmed the awful truth. Whitney Houston had died.
It’s hard when stars who have been part of your pop culture for decades pass away, but even worse when they’re too young. Today, I’m going to celebrate the music Whitney gave us. Here’s the first song I remember from her and although she was great on ballads, I need the lightness of this video today.

Thanks for mentioning my giveaway, I really appreciate it!
That’s my favourite Whitney song of all. Such a loss.
thank you for the inclusion.
What a voice. No one can sing “I Will Always Love You” like Whitney could. She will be so missed.
Thanks so much for the mention of my giveaway and the Festival of Frugality!
I have never envied people in the spot light. You don’t end up living a normal life and there are lots of pressures you have to deal with.
It is so strange she too is no gone. It will take some time to get used to. She had amazing talent.
Thanks so much for including my article on world hunger. I really appreciate it. Awareness of the problem is the first step which is what I was trying to do with this post.
